Lansing Wrongful Death Lawsuit Settles For Anesthesia Medical Malpractice

Our Lansing accident injury lawyers recently settled a Lansing medical malpractice case in a wrongful death lawsuit against a Lansing area hospital and anesthesiologist.  The lawsuit was on behalf of the family of our client who died as a result of anesthesia errors during a routine colonoscopy and settled for a confidential amount.

Anesthesia, or anaesthesia, has traditionally meant the condition of having sensation (including the feeling of pain) blocked or temporarily taken away.  The most common anesthesia errors can lead to injuries, including brain injuries and even death. Not all risk factors are due to a medical malpractice. To prove a medical malpractice case in Michigan, there must be a credible expert witness testimony by another physician that explains why treating physician acted in a negligent matter.

If you would like more information about your legal rights as a result of Michigan medical malpractice, you can order our FREE book, “The Ultimate Michigan Medical Malpractice Handbook,” by medical malpractice attorney Lawrence J. Buckfire. The book is an insider’s report on medical malpractice claims and includes why most malpractice victims never receive compensation for their injuries.

Lansing Five Car Accident Leaves Five People Injured

Our Lansing car accident lawyersare reporting a story in the paper today about a five car accident that took place this morning on westbound I-96 near the Martin Luther King Jur. Boulevard exit.  According to police, one of the drivers in the five car accident did not slow down enough when approaching a traffic backup due to a previous smaller auto accident the same morning on I-96, causing the pile up. Five people were taken to Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital and suffer injuries.

I am very sorry to hear about this accident and hope the injured victims have a fast recovery without any permanent damages.

Our Michigan car accident attorneys advise victims of their legal rights. The injured victims may be able to submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits. No-Fault benefits will cover their medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident. The injured individuals can claim these benefits even if they did not have a Michigan automobile insurance policy and even if they are determined to be at fault.

In addition, the accident injury victims may also have claims for personal injuries against the driver determined to be at fault in this accident. The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case. In this lawsuit, the injured victims can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident.out
