There was a story in the State News today about an MSU student in a fatal drunk driving accident that occurred Saturday, October 17th in Kent County. According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department, the 23-year-old Michigan State University student was a passenger in an SUV, driven by his neighbor, when the vehicle they were in allegedly left the road and hit a tree in Ada Township. The SUV was torn apart and the student was killed. Police believe that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash and continue to investigate.

While listening to the radio over the weekend, I heard about a tragic Mason County Drunk Driving Accident  on US-131. According to the Mason County Sheriff, a 20-year-old Muskegon man allegedly lost control of his vehicle crashed at the end of the west bound on-ramp while intoxicated.  A female passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries including a possible broken arm and neck injuries.
