Damages sought in this case include the loss of companionship suffered by the family, the loss of her income, and the loss of her services provided to family members at the home. The suit contends that the death was preventable if the medical staff had properly monitored her during the procedure and taken necessary measures when her condition continued to worsen. The case is currently pending in the Ingham County Circuit Court and no trial date has been set.

Paramedic Injured on I-94 in Jackson County

There was a story in the paper today about a paramedic injured on I-94 in Jackson County on January 8th. According to the Michigan State Police, the paramedic was setting flares on I-94 when a Parma woman allegedly lost control of her vehicle and slammed into the ambulance, which hit the paramedic. The paramedic was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his serious injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.
